My Blog I Forgot All About You!

I was looking for a blogging website and found my old cooking blog from school. Wow. I was reading over some of my old posts and realized that things have changes.

I am going to Weight Watchers attempting to lose all the weight I gained while going to school, then paralegal school. I was eating on the run, eating fast food and junk food, and not cooking good food. So, I have decided to use this blog to document my progress, tips, tricks and recipes that I found. I am hoping this will keep me focused and interested in staying on track.

I have found some inspiration at hungrygirl.com, a great site for finding ways to lighten up traditional menus. Eatthisnotthat.com helps me make better choices when eating out or grocery shopping. Webmd.com has some great low-cal recipes and good health advise. And of course weightwatchers.com.
My weight loss is seventeen pounds so far, but it has been incredibly slow. I am not exercising and that is part of the problem. I really hate exercising so I find a million excuses not to do it. But I belong to two gyms so I really have no excuse. Hopefully having a blog to write my recipes and thoughts on will help me along on my journey.

Busy Means No Cooking

Yikes! I have been so busy writing papers for school I have not been able to blog at all. I hope to remedy that situation next week. So I will be looking for some new recipes to try. I hope to find some good ones and post them here. Stay tuned............

Going to School Pays Off

I found this great resource for recipes because of class I am taking at FDU. The class is "New Jersey History" and this weeks assignment is regarding New Jersey Agriculture. The professor gave us a link to the NJ Dept. of Agriculture website. I found a section with great recipes which use New Jersey produce and seafood. http://www.state.nj.us/agriculture/ - Click on the "Jersey Fresh" and "Jersey Seafood" logos on the bottom right, then click on "recipes".
